Romantic gorge trail
The Kesselfall is an incredibly romantic gorge trail from the Augraben to Semriach. Along the rushing spring waters, you hike through the romantic Kesselfall on walkways and bridges.
- Start and end point: Gasthaus Sandwirt
- Length: 2.7 km
- Walking time: 1.5 hours
- Altitude difference: 180 m
- Trail numbers: 740 and 740 b
- Points of interest: Kesselfallklamm, Steintor
- Places to stop: Gasthaus Sandwirt
Characteristics:
The Kesselfall is a protected natural monument. A particularly enjoyable hike over well-built walkways and bridges through woodlands. This hiking trail is especially popular with children since it is close to water and because of climbing the ladders. Not suitable for pushchairs.
Note:
Admission to the gorge is EUR 2.00 for adults (free for children up to 14 years old).
We recommend touring the gorge “uphill” since this makes the walkways and ladders easier to negotiate.
