Holiday hiking in the Naturpark Almenland
Holidays in the Naturpark Almenland without exercise in the fresh air are almost unimaginable – even if it's just a walk around Teichalmsee. Numerous hiking trails and mountain peaks around the Teichalm and Sommeralm have lots to offer for all skill levels. Hiking over the alps and from one lodge to the next is particularly enjoyable. Enjoy glorious views on your hike, and stop refreshments!
Families will feel right at home here too. They can explore the upland moor, followed by the Teichalmsee with a pedal boat. Hiking holidays or just a day hike, the Naturpark Almenland is sure to be marvellous and relaxing.
Suggested routes
Our suggested routes can help you find the right choice for you quickly. We have categorised our routes as follows:
- Easy: Max.8 km, max. 400 metres altitude difference
Comfortable hiking trails for anyone, requiring only basic equipment (solid footwear, rain gear), with routes over broad trails and meadows.
- Moderate: Max. 16 km, max. 800 metres altitude difference
Mountain trails across alps and in part also rocky terrain, these routes are suitable for practised hikers. Ankle-high hiking boots, functional hiking clothes and a backpack with at least 2 litres of water, first aid kit and supplies are recommended.
- Difficult: more than 16 km, more than 800 metres altitude difference
Mountain trails, partly over rocky terrain or also exposed, definitely requiring mountaineering experience, stamina and a head for heights, and of course corresponding equipment.
