High above Koglhof...

The route starts in the Sallegg district, high above Koglhof, and leads around the Königskogel. The tour captivates with its beautiful views.

The path around the Königskogel is easy to walk and has beautiful views and a few rest areas. There is no ascent to the summit cross because the summit lies in the dense forest. Sallegg, a few kilometers above Koglhof, lies directly on the Almenland panorama road. The views from this small town with its lavish floral decorations are correspondingly beautiful. The view goes north to Birkfeld, the Fischbach Alps and on to the Schneealpe, the Rax or the Hohe Veitsch. St. Georgenkirche is located deep down in the valley. It was first mentioned in the 13th century and is the oldest parish church in the upper Feistritztal. The church was rebuilt in the 18th century and later furnished in the neo-baroque style.

After the shooting of the Obi Hansl hut, there is unfortunately no guest house in Sallegg, refreshments are possible in the village of Koglhof or on the Brandlucken / Heilbrunn.
