Wonderful dumpling dishes from Anita Haramia at the Knödelzeit in Passail. The loving preparation and the sophisticated arrangement on the plate will be a treat not only for your palate, but also for your eyes.
The guesthouse is right on the Mariazell long-distance hiking trail and has a double room and two multiple bed rooms for tired, hungry hikers. The pilgrim rooms are spacious and reasonably priced – so there is nothing standing in the way of the hiking experience.

On our menu, you will find a wide variety of dumpling creations in soups, as main dishes and as desserts. The extensive range of dishes also offers vegetarians a lot of opportunities to enjoy our delicious dumplings.
We follow the principle of healthy, down-to-earth and honest cooking, but that alone is not enough. Our very friendly atmosphere and love of dumplings can be perceived in many details in the guest areas and in the dishes.
A key element of our philosophy is: at the Knödelzeit, we offer our guest products that are grown and produced in the region. Therefore, it is important to us to establish an increasingly close working relationship with our more than 15 farmers and local producers from the Almenland Nature Park, in order to be able to serve you an increased number of honest and regional products with quality you can trust.
This is not only the case in our food; we are also pleased to have found regional suppliers of delicious fruit juices and spirits. A glass of Austrian wine and a Styrian beer are included in our offer.
Enjoy a cosy time in our guesthouse that is steeped in history. Our non-smoking rooms include the old dining room and the extra room with the card table, and the “smoking chamber” is reserved for our smokers. In the summer, the wonderfully shady guest garden outside the guesthouse invites hungry guests, thirsty cyclists and sociable locals to sit down and let their gaze wonder over the wonderful historic Passail market square, whilst they enjoy the excellent dumpling cuisine.
