Alpine guesthouse Stroßeggwirt

The family-run guesthouse with rustic dining rooms and cosy seats in the conservatory is located 1,170 m above sea level, between the municipalities of Gasen and Breitenau am Hochlantsch.
It offers eight double comfort rooms with satellite TV, a shower/WC and balcony, and nine rooms with beds for a total of 90 people – enough space for pilgrims and hiking groups.
The Strosseggwirt is the starting point or a refreshment break on many hiking trails, for example the Mariazell hiking trail.

Regional products – traditional dishes

The bacon, the sausage and the salted and smoked meat come primarily from our own pigs. Our own cows provide good milk for the breakfast coffee and the mountain pasture butter. On the goat’s kid meat days in the spring, everyone gets their money’s worth: baked, roasted, grilled, boiled...
