Stylish and cosy mountain pasture design, excellent mountain pasture wellness, award-winning mountain pasture food, idyllic mountain pasture romanticism and fascinating mountain pasture experiences await guests in and around the Almwellness Hotel Pierer****Superior.
Surrounded by lush mountain pastures and dark green forests, the four-star Superior hotel is the perfect starting point for active or leisurely recreation in the countryside. Enjoyable walks and challenging hikes lead through the idyllic landscape to the most attractive places and enchant people with an impressive panorama. In the winter, the Almenland Nature Park is best discovered by skiing, snowshoeing, a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh or cross-country skiing.
Stylish and cosy mountain pasture design
The hotel is fitted out with indigenous materials, primarily wood and stone, the majority of which come from the vicinity. Here, trends and tradition merge in harmony with nature. This authentic, sustainable way of thinking that is in touch with nature is underlined by the hotel having been awarded the Austrian eco-label for tourism.
Excellent mountain pasture wellness
The 2 lilies in the “Relax Guide” clearly speak in favour of the high quality of the wellness facilities. A 3,500 m2 indoor and outdoor wellness area, with a view of the wonderful natural landscape, invites you to enjoy relaxed hours in Pierer’s mountain pasture spa and mountain pasture garden. The panoramic pool with massage and bubble loungers, a sun terrace, the exclusive rest areas, the spacious sauna area, the natural swimming pool, which is heated from May to November, and much more promise complete relaxation. The extensive range of massages and beauty treatments, including nurturing cosmetic treatments, invigorating exfoliations and beneficial massages, leaves nothing to be desired.
Award-winning mountain pasture food
Regional, seasonal and homemade – a subject close to the heart of the Pierer family. Therefore, they work closely with the surrounding farmers and local producers. In the gourmet kitchen, exquisite treats, awarded 1 toque by Gault Millau and 2 forks by Falstaff, are conjured up with a lot of attention to detail and accompanied by select wines.
Fine wines and spirits, such as homemade liqueurs made by Franz Pierer, PIN (Pierer GIN) with a hint of herbs from the mountain pastures or the Pierer Edition from the hotel’s own South Styrian vineyard can be enjoyed in the wine tasting room or in the new lounge. In the farm shop, the specially produced delicacies can be taken home to enjoy for a long time.
Kitchen opening hours:
