The child-friendly mountain farm and the holiday house are 1,100 metres above sea level, in the heart of the countryside and with a wonderful view of the largest area of mountain pastures in Europe.
The “Holzwohnung” (wooden apartment) with an area of 80 m2 and the “Schmied’n-Wohnung” (smithy apartment) with an area of 78 m2 can be rented separately or together and are fitted out exactly the same upstairs and downstairs:
- a double room (upstairs)
- a room with two single beds (upstairs)
- a bathroom with a WC (upstairs
- an anteroom and a balcony (upstairs)
- a large dining room with an extendible couch (downstairs)
- a fully equipped kitchen (downstairs)
- an additional WC (downstairs)
- TV and WiFi available
The apartments are heated with wood chip heating. There is also a small wood-burning stove in the dining room. The wood is freely available behind the house.
Due to the perfectly equipped kitchen, the apartments are self-catering. However, a “bread roll service” can be used for breakfast. You can also get delicious products from the farm: its own milk, yoghurt, eggs or spirits.
Bored? Definitely not!
There is a lot to discover on the farm, especially for children! Children can let off steam in the play barn, which has a viewing window into the cowshed, even in rainy weather. The “rowanberry play area” is right outside the holiday house.
There are also a number of animals living on the farm.
- cows and calves.
In the meantime, the parents can enjoy the sun, the peace and quiet, and the air of the mountain pastures. The farm offers a small, but excellent range of wellness facilities. You can relax in the sauna, in the infrared cabin and on the loungers.
The “Schmied’n-Keller” from the year 1842 invites you to enjoy cosy hours together. Barbecues are, of course, also possible.
The farm, and the entire village of St. Kathrein am Offenegg, is away from stress and noise, and is a paradise for hikers, food lovers and families. The numerous restaurants invite you to stop for a bite to eat after a walk or a hike. There are excursion destinations nearby!
