Nature Park Partner Establishment of the Year 2018
Our four-star hotel der WILDE EDER is located in the idyllic little town of St. Kathrein am Offenegg, at 972 metres above sea level, in a wonderful panoramic location in the heart of the Almenland Nature Park – the largest continuous area of mountain pastures in central Europe.
2 toques from Gault Millau and 2 forks from Falstaff
With a cosmopolitan spirit of discovery and our own distinctive signature, we present “regio-global” delicacies as a link between down-to-earth inn culture and influences from throughout the world. In our traditional and modern food, inspiration meets tried-and-tested recipes. We preserve what is good and genuine and raise it to a new level. This is how we create the culinary poetry of the Almenland – it tells of freedom, passion and infectious enthusiasm.
Valuing regional products
We draw from what we find outside the doors and appreciate the value of life. And we are thankful for our good relationships with lovers of creation, as well as with our local community. Our work is a reflection of the Styrian Almenland and the people who surround us.
Perfect service, a stylish ambience, select wines, the finest cuisine and award-winning culinary delights come together at the WILDE EDER**** to produce a top class culinary experience. Only the best products from the region with creative and modern finishing touches, combined with fresh herbs from our own garden, are used to refine our dishes and play around your palate.
With real passion and selected ingredients, world champion confectioner and TV chef Eveline Wild creates unique handmade chocolate fantasies. A sweet journey into Eveline’s chocolate heaven will make the heart of anyone with a sweet tooth beat faster and leaves nothing to be desired.
