Street of Music

The Road of Music connects living folk culture and musical customs in the region of the Nature Park Almenland and in Joglland.

Numerous events are held around music every year. The association "Street of Music" networks these events, expands them through workshops, training and much more, and combines them into one large project. In this way, the lived customs are to be preserved and innovatively developed.

The Road of Music runs from Pernegg an der Mur, via Breitenau am Hochlantsch, to Gasen and on to Birkfeld. With the help of the tourism regions, a new tourism impulse is being set: the relaxing music holiday!

A range of activities and events for young and old take place in the communities throughout the year. This results in a wide-ranging calendar of events. But the musical personalities are also in the foreground. From sacred choral music to Bohemian brass band music, there are many creative artists and musical groups along the Road of Music. Particularly well known, for example, are the Hafendorfers, the Counts, the Stoakogler, the Ritschis and many more!

Events and music groups dedicated to traditional Styrian folk music are also supported. Thus, for example, the alpine song evenings, the house music groups or the musicians' regulars' tables are preserved.
